Fewer Companies Changing Auditors

Drew Bernstein, co-managing partner of Marcum Bernstein & Pinchuk, is quoted in a January 31st Compliance Week article, entitled “Fewer Companies Changing Auditors.”  The article, by Tammy Whitehouse, examines auditor changes in 2011 based on a Compliance Week analysis.

Among other insights, the analysis showed fewer companies changed their auditor in 2011, but the smaller firms outshone the Big 4 overall in winning new business.

In the article, Bernstein commented on the merger of Bernstein & Pinchuk and Marcum LLP in 2011 to form Marcum Bernstein & Pinchuk and he noted the firm’s size now giving it the ability to win new business and target more substantial, established companies.
